Pocket-Sized Terror: Screamify Launches “Micro Horrors” and Expands Indie Film Slate The independent horror streaming platform Screamify has officially revolutionized short-form genre content with the launch of its Micro Horrors™ vertical. Capitalizing on the global boom of mobile-first, short-form programming, the Nashville-based streamer has become the first dedicated horror service to offer an exclusive category for scripted, vertical (9:16) episodic horror. Running between one and three minutes per installment, these hyper-serialized series leverage rapid pacing and sharp cliffhangers engineered for on-the-go viewing. The launch was commemorated with a red-carpet premiere party at the Sidecar Bar in downtown Nashville, bringing together over 80 filmmakers, local creators, and horror enthusiasts. Concurrently, Screamify is ramping up its original feature-length lineup, greenlighting an innovative feature film project alongside newly licensed festival hits. The Micro Horrors Debut Lineup Screamify’s pocket-sized terror ecosystem debuted with three foundational series available directly on their iOS and Android applications: Feature Film Announcements and Slates Beyond short-form media, Screamify is expanding its traditional cinematic portfolio to actively back independent creators who operate outside the traditional studio machine. The service officially greenlit “Crack”, the inaugural title on its brand-new medical-horror development slate. Characterized as an entry into “ASMR horror,” the film subverts wellness culture and the intimacy of therapeutic care into a psychological nightmare. In a massive win for nostalgia fans, the production cast A Nightmare on Elm Street veteran Tuesday Knight. This project joins a separate, untitled practical-effects folk horror feature from filmmaker Ty Huffer, tracking a story that combines a Norwegian black metal band with ancient witchcraft. To complement these upcoming originals, Screamify recently acquired the exclusive streaming rights to three prominent independent features originally released in 2025: the found-footage thriller The Black-Eyed Children, the Hungarian atmospheric horror Dreamland Awaits, and the supernatural thriller Lechuza.
